And thanks to The Save Movement New York for holding a vigil outside my “local” slaughterhouse. I’ve been filming them and the animals (especially the panting chickens) for the last year and had the cops called on me once for filming. Nice to have some backup. And for those that think this is against small businesses or anyone else’s “culture”, the chicken places in NYC/Brooklyn don’t support other small business, the chickens come from central PA and the goats and sheep come from Iowa. No food or water on their 4-day journey and the conditions are horrendous. Also, animal manufacturing and factory farming is gross American culture, it is not an indigenous practice (in fact it’s the opposite!). I am planning to gather my video clips soon and post so check back soon.
Thank you everyone, because humans are not better than animals. How can we expect to live in a society free of oppression if we are still oppressing animals? Abolish ALL Acts of Superiority! And if you don’t care about animals but care about the planet, consider this: factory farming is the leading contributor to climate change.
