Since 1998, The Vagina Monologues and other works have been performed across the world by local V-Day activists, raising over $100 million dollars for grassroots anti-violence groups, rape crisis centers, domestic violence shelters, and safe houses in places like Kenya and Afghanistan. I used to work at Millie’s Cuban Cafe on Wilson Ave @Stanhope Street which has now turned into the three-month long (hopefully longer) vegan pop-up Sol Sips! Being a vegetarian myself, I couldn’t be more excited, except for the fact that I also have two paintings on the new meat-free walls! Check em out in person any day til 8pm, Thursday acoustic nights 7-9pm or Friday during midnight brunch!
